UBC Public Scholars Initiative 2021/22 Cohort

The UBC Public Scholars Initiative (PSI) has just announced 36 new doctoral students for its 2021/2022 cohort. This year’s cohort consists of a diverse pool of scholars from different faculties and disciplines.

The PSI was established in 2015 to assist UBC doctorate candidates whose research went outside standard academic disciplines. The PSI has also earned many accolades for its promotion of excellence and outstanding service to students, having been dubbed “revolutionary” at the Reimagining the PhD Symposium 2017.

Visit the Public Scholars Initiative website to learn more about this year’s scholars and their exceptional work.

Through Strategy 16: Public Relevance, we are striving to align UBC’s activities with key concerns in British Columbia and beyond through discussion and knowledge sharing.
