Since last year’s launch of our strategic plan: Shaping UBC’s Next Century, considerable progress has been made implementing it across the university.
To summarize some of the progress since the plan was launched, a Progress Poster has been developed for you to print and share. The poster not only outlines some of the key achievements over the past year, but is also a reminder of the six priority areas the university will focus on over the next two years. These were previously mentioned in an article outlining UBC’s spending priorities.
In the coming months, there will also be a number of additional developments and announcements. In mid-July, the 2018/19 Annual Report will be released, showcasing UBC’s work to advance the strategic plan. In the fall, a new strategic plan website will launch — complete with stories and metrics related to the plan’s implementation, as well as updates regarding calls for proposals.
Moving forward, the Strategic Initiatives Office will be contacting communicators across UBC to ensure the most diverse and representative examples of the plan in action are featured on the new website. Our goal is to curate plan-related initiatives and story ideas from across the university, which will then be shared with students, staff, faculty and alumni.
