Theme: Collaboration

The Bradshaw Research Initiative for Minerals and Mining (BRIMM) at UBC is offering the Executive Microcertificate in Economic Leadership for mining professionals from across the world. The online structure of the course means that learners from the Philippines, Romania, Mongolia, England, Germany and South Africa can complete the tasks required and gain the certification from their comforts of their home.

Operating primarily within the Faculty of Applied Science and Faculty of Science, BRIMM fosters multidisciplinary research teams working with industry to create new, long-term solutions to industrial difficulties. BRIMM has developed a bespoke platform and learning materials to facilitate the expansion of the education programme from the original pilot course over two years ago. Nearly 200 students have enrolled in the programme since its start in June 2019, with the first 17 just about to graduate.
