Are you passionate about transforming the learning environment for students? If so, the Office of the Provost and VP, Academic, invites interested faculty and staff to apply for the Advancing Education Renewal Call for Proposals.

The call, which supports Strategy 11: Education Renewal of UBC’s strategic plan: Shaping UBC’s Next Century, will provide $1.5-million over the next two years to support projects that advance one of three education renewal focus areas:

  • Improvements in teaching effectiveness;
  • Program redesign: Developing program-level outcomes;
  • Reimagining and strengthening graduate programs.

Eligible projects can receive up to $50,000 or $100,000 in one-time funding, depending on the focus area. Online applications open December 1, with final proposals due no later than 3pm on February 6, 2020. Interested applicants are encouraged to attend one of two upcoming information sessions scheduled for December 10 and January 14, or one of a number of consultation sessions organized by the Centre for Teaching, Learning and Technology.

More information about the call, including eligibility, evaluation criteria, key dates and information session details can be found on the VP Academic website. Questions about this call for proposals can be directed to info.strategicplan@ubc.ca.
