The Office of the Provost and Vice-President, Academic, UBC Vancouver, invites UBC faculty, students, and staff to submit proposals for the Small Teaching and Learning Enhancement Fund (TLEF) Innovation projects and invites UBC faculty to apply to the special call Interdisciplinary Team-Teaching Grant (ITTG). The deadline for applications is on November 14, 2019 at 3pm.
Small TLEF Innovation projects are intended to advance UBC’s strategic goals relating to transformative learning. These projects are grassroots projects that are intended to support experimentation with pedagogical approaches that have strong potential to enhance the experiences of learners. Small TLEF projects can request up to $50,000 over the life of the project, and can run from one to three years. For more information and to apply, visit tlef.ubc.ca/application.
The Interdisciplinary Team-Teaching Grant (ITTG) is a special call as part of the 2020 Small TLEF round, aimed at encouraging the enhancement of interdisciplinary teaching at UBC with funding and central support resources. The ITTG will fund projects to redesign and deliver an existing for-credit undergraduate or graduate course. In alignment with Strategy 14: Interdisciplinary Education in UBC’s strategic plan, the grant aims to strengthen students’ competencies and transferable skills by purposely integrating knowledge and methods from different disciplines. For more information and to apply, visit tlef.ubc.ca/application/special-call/ittg.
The Centre for Teaching Learning and Technology (CTLT) will offer a general information session on September 26 as well as weekly drop-in sessions for applicants who want to receive consulting support on their proposals.
