2019/20 ALT Fund projects announced

The Provost of UBC Okanagan is pleased to announce the recipients of the 2019/20 Aspire Learning and Teaching Fund.

The Fund supports curriculum change, innovative teaching practices and learning environment enhancement as envisioned in Aspire. The fund will enable faculty members to make strategic changes within existing, or implement new, undergraduate and graduate academic programs that are more flexible, interdisciplinary, experiential and/or collaborative. The main goal of the ALT Fund is to transform student learning at UBC Okanagan.

The 2019/20 recipients are listed below by lead applicant. Collaborators and a summary of each initiative are listed in the left-hand menu on the ALT Fund 2019/20 recipients page.

  • Ernest Goh, Modularisation of APSC180 Statics for delivery during terms of different durations (Winter 1, regular Summer, Vantage Summer) and to suit students with diverse prior knowledge.
  • Allison Hargreaves, Indigenous Teaching and Learning in the English Classroom
  • Jennifer Jakobi, Assimilation of Management and Health: Collaborative On-line Curriculum for Conceptualizing Inter-Professionalism
  • Sajni Lacey, Creating Flexible Online Learning Modules to Support Information Literacy Instruction
