May 3, 2021
Local and Global Engagement | Strategy 19: Global Networks
Theme: Collaboration

UBC is transforming to meet the challenges of today – and tomorrow. The university’s new global engagement strategy, In Service, outlines a bold new vision for collaborating with partners large and small, at home and abroad, spanning not only disciplines, but cities, countries and continents. Prof. Santa J. Ono, UBC President and Vice-Chancellor, opened the virtual launch celebration for In Service on April 12, 2021.

Learn about UBC’s bold new direction for collaborating with the world

The event featured local and global speakers in conversation on what it means to be a university “in service” to the world through equitable collaboration – from research on issues of global relevance to capacity development work and global educational experiences.
