Interactive business analytics content, right from the classroom — Dr. Harish Krishnan, professor of operations and logistics at UBC’s Sauder School of Business, saw an opportunity to use open resources to develop in-demand business analytics skills using ‘real-life’ business problems.

The Analytics@Sauder hub allows students to develop in-demand analytical skills by interacting with business data through open-source and cloud-based tools. Thanks to the support of the Teaching and Learning Enhancement fund, students from the Masters of Business Analytics program were also employed to help develop the platform and contents — cementing their learning and helping prepare them for their careers.

Learn more about the Analytics@Sauder project and how Dr. Krishnan hopes to develop a community of business analytics students, instructors and alumni.

Through Strategy 13: Practical Learning, UBC is committed to expanding experiential, work-integrated and extended learning opportunities for students, faculty, staff and alumni.
