UBC Research Data Management Town Hall: Oct. 19, 2021

Research Excellence | Strategy 7: Research Support
Theme: Innovation

UBC is developing a Research Data Management (RDM) strategy to align with the Tri-Agency Policy on RDM, UBC’s strategic plan and the UBC Indigenous Strategic Plan. The strategy will inform the future of RDM at UBC by focusing on the priorities of the research community. Forming an effective strategy requires input from the research community to understand where we are now, and future priorities. Join us at a virtual town hall on Oct. 19 at 2:00 p.m. and at additional focused discussion group sessions in November and January to help shape these priorities. Learn more and register at https://arc.ubc.ca/ubc-rdm-strategy-town-hall  You can also submit feedback at any time at https://arc.ubc.ca/research-data-managementThe strategy will be developed through a partnership between the Vice-President, Research and Innovation, UBC Library and the Office of the Chief Information Officer.

Focus Groups: In addition to the RDM Strategy town hall, we will be conducting four themed focus group sessions. While each of these sessions is themed around a specific funding agency or topic, everyone is welcome to attend any session or multiple sessions. The focus groups will allow for more in-depth discussion about the RDM needs associated with each of the themes.
